DAMSELS and DRAGONS

Photographing Damselflies and Dragonflies started as a 'sideline' on trips to photograph butterflies and birds.   When I found that Southern Hawkers and Large Red Damselflies were breeding in our garden pond, the interest developed.   I now make expeditions with them as the main target, especially as they remain active well into the autumn, when most butterflies are either finished or aged and damaged.

Hover your cursor over each thumbnail to see the species, then click on the thumbnails to access the enlarged image on its own page.   You may need to reduce the image size (cmd- on Macs, ctrl- in Windows) for it to fit your screen.   Hit the BACK button to return to the thumbnails.
